Well, the turkey I made came out pretty decent. My only complaint is that I need to find a better way to thaw and brine it. I can't spend most of my time cleaning up. I didn't do anything entertaining for the rest of the weekend. I went jogging and cleaned up a little bit. I also had the luck of being able to receive an internet connection at home. Unfortunately, I didn't do anything productive. I just surfed and looked at smut. I kinda wish I had more websites to look at. I only three. Right now, I am waiting for one of my classes to start. And the guy next to me stinks! I hate to be rude, but it is true. It is a mix between mildew and wet sneakers. I've smelled worse in life, but still.
In other news... An associate told me about a 5K race in April. It sounds interesting and I think I am going to start training next month (October). And hopefully I will lose 10 pounds -or at least eight. I need to stir up some trouble so I can have something to talk about.
O-U-T peace.

great balls of fire
I was going to write yesterday, but was being lazy.. Last week I had a test and did pretty well (A-) but I wanted to get a 100. I just need to calm down and concentrate on the little mistakes I make. On Sunday, I saw the movie Devil. It was somewhat interesting. I said I wouldn't see anymore of Shyamalan's movies, especially after Lady in the Water. Obviously I lied and got rightly cheated out of time and $5. Don't waste your time watching the movie. It is about forgiveness and redemption. I also made potato soup via a recipe from allrecipes.com. It is the hearty garlic potato soup. Maybe I have problems reading, idk, but the recipe and the finished product were two separate things. I had to add extra flour and other flavor saving ingredients just to have something decent. It's in the freezer awaiting cold winter days. But I am not sure if I should eat it or not, because boiled milk doesn't mix well with my stomach or intestinal tract.
Monday and Tuesday were pretty fruitless until I was going home Tuesday night. On the way home, I saw a lady running down the street screaming. There was also a car keeping pace with her. Well, like an idiot, I told her to get in my car. (Keep in mind the other car's occupant- some guy- was yelling that she'd be dead if she hopped in my car.) Anyway, she got in and he commenced to follow us. Ironically, no cops were present and I always see cops in my neighborhood. Long story short, I almost got forced off a street/road and had to take refuge at a gas station to prevent further trouble. 30 minutes or so later, someone she knew came to pick her up. Talk about drama! Well, the next day I go to file a police report and am told there is nothing to be done, because she spoke with them and refuses to press charges. Ain't life a kick? This is the last time I go out of my way to help someone. If I see her again (running and screaming, of course) I am gonna slow down and tell her to help herself.
Anyway, I forgot to mention, but channel 4 has some really decent shows running on Mondays. The Event and Chase seem like pretty decent shows to tune into.

low income
Before I begin my rant, I want to talk about my weekend. Nothing interesting happened. I studied and was extremely tired on Sunday.
Ok. According to fafsa, I make too much money to receive substantial aid. The most I can get is $555. Which doesn't really help much to be honest. So I checked my mail this weekend. The normal junk and bills were there. No surprise. But I also had a white envelope with a random return address. I thought it is either a bill from a collection agency or a credit card. My second assumption was partially right. It was a prepaid Mastercard! According to the pamphlet, "managing your life and your money is easier with the prepaid Mastercard." Wow. I didn't fucking know my life could be much easier. All I have to do to make it work is to set up some sort of direct deposit (bc I'm poor and can't open a savings/checking acct at the bank). And I don't have to worry about unauthorized transactions as long as I promptly report my card lost or stolen. Thank you, Dan Henry, CEO of Netspend Corp, I don't know how I would have managed without you or payday loan offices.
Anyway, I was being sarcastic for anyone that couldn't pick up on that. The card is a total ripoff. You are charged a monthly fee to use the card. I think I was sent the card because I live in a neighborhood that is considered low income. I'm sure anyone on the other side of town was sent this bullshit. Just because I don't live in a nice home does not mean I am stupid. I really wish people wouldn't make assumptions without doing research.

Untitled.
I can't believe today is Wednesday! My weekend wasn't too much to brag about though. I spent most of my time laying in bed and eating junk food. The most I accomplished was cleaning the living room and jogging on Monday. I was supposed to write a paper for one of my classes. So I am a little disappointed. Moving on...
I went to class on Tuesday and I think I am about fed up with most of the folks in that class. (Since this is my second time taking this science course, I know most will drop before midterm, hopefully.) But anyway, there is a guy next to me that is always scratching his private area. WTF? And the thing is before he does it, he will lean down and try to be discreet. Dude, I can see you out of the corner of my eye. So, I have come to the conclusion that he has either crabs or herpes. (Btw: I am not a medical professional. This is an uneducated assumption.)
What is up with folks tossing acid? Although it is unfortunate that these things are happening, I think both stories sound somewhat fishy. You're telling me some random person just tossed acid on your face? I don't think it is random. Like most officers will tell you, most crimes are not as random as they seem. Another problem is that people are not aware of their surroundings. When did people stop adhering to the advice given to them as children? Crime is everywhere. Stop leaving valuables on your dashboard and lock your fucking doors.

Schemer
I am a tad on the tired side today. I think it is the weather and my body wanting to hibernate. Or I am more lazy than I thought. On a side note, I am trying to find out how to break my apartment lease. Without owing any money, of course. My main option is to have someone kick down my door a few times in the early am hours. Option two is to try and make mold grow on the walls. I know those sound real lame, but they are better than nothing. I can also try and create a water leak or make something hazardous happen via basement access. Why? Well a little birdie just told me about a possible rent free living situation and I want in. Generally, I would frown on such a suggestion. But realistically, honesty is not the best policy and I am tired of being poor. To make matters worse, I kinda just renewed my lease. Ain't life a pinch of salt in a wound? The only safe reasons as specified on my lease for early termination are a job transfer and active duty deployment. So I need to explore all of my options before acting.
In other news... Did you hear about the Discovery channel gunman? That is one messed up situation. He had some decent ideas, but went about it in the wrong way. His best bet would have been to buy a public television channel and preach on there. Someone would have seen it and word of mouth would have helped his ratings.
Now something more recent... TI and Tiny. How dumb can you get? I am not calling the anniversary celebration dumb, but their after party plans were. You would think he learned something about discretion in jail. Instead of letting him out early, he should have done the entire term. Am I being harsh? I think not. Most celebrities are repeat offenders because they get petty sentences. Which proves the justice system is corrupt. Similar crimes should get similar sentences. And stop giving them protection in jail. Let them roam with the general population.

First Day.
Blogs are a lot like relationships. You have to stay current with them or get lost. I never stay current and have lost three or four blogs to date. Hopefully, this one won't be like the others. The reason I am blogging this time is because my sister says I am funny and should blog. The main problem with the proposed idea is internet capability. I technically don't have the internet at home. The only time I do is when my computer picks up a wifi wave. And when I am blessed with wifi, I never use it to better myself. I generally look up meaningless information. But this time will be different! I am going to try and blog every two/three days (or at least once a week). Most of it will be about what is going on in my life and every once in a while you will hear my commentary on current events. With that being said, here is a little about myself:
I am a twenty-three year old lifetime student. I say lifetime, because I have literaly been in school since I was eighteen. (Except for the 2 1/2 years I dropped out.) I also keep changing my mind when it comes to a major. I want to do something with science, but I have to try and pass Chemistry II. And because of my work schedule, it is hard for me to take much needed courses. In addition, going to school part-time is a joke. But you have to try and make lemonade with lemons. To date, I have been looking at evening courses for busy adults and it looks promising.
